A Contactless Backend Process
The applicants and the DTOs in which the applications are submitted are not informed where the applications have been randomly routed. This ensures complete elimination of the role of the middlemen and unnecessary harassment of applicants. This also effectively makes the backend processes of the Vahan and Sarathi processes contactless.
Launching the System, the Chief Minister lauded the exceptional work of NIC not only in the Transport Sector but also in the Revenue Sector of the State. He asked all present to give a good hand for NIC and said that NIC delivered work without any hassles. He also said that CM-TRANS introduces an effective way of cleansing middlemen out of the system and ensuring easy and smooth services to the citizen.He was proud that since the
concept has been first conceptualized and implemented in Assam, CM-TRANS would henceforth be dubbed as the Assam Model.
The Assam Chief Minister also launched 12 more Vahan and Sarathi contactless services in the same event. This takes the total number of contactless services in Assam to 25.
